The floor in our kitchen is vinyl too and after all our holiday guests it really needs a good clean through the years we ve changed the vinyl flooring twice the right moment for changing the flooring type never comes and this was my only decision for fighting all that filth. To protect your linoleum floors apply a coat of wax or liquid wax and buff to a shine every 3 to 6 months. While this cleaning method was highly effective at giving my old tile floors a fresh new look the problem is that the tiles and grout will eventually get dirty again. After sweeping or vacuuming wash the linoleum tile with linoleum flooring cleaning solution or borax detergent and water.

Rinse clean and let the floor dry. Vinyl floors are low maintenance but cleaning products can leave a dull build up. Continue to wash dirt from the floor until the mop wrings clean. Keep a mat at an entryway to a kitchen that has vinyl flooring to reduce the amount of dirt being tracked inside.
